13 racers turned out on 4/5 September 2004 for round 2 of the British Open Championship at Gainsborough. Whilst not a massive turnout this was very satisfactory for the time of year, with some people still away - even racing abroad in some cases.
Charlie Gooding pushed the F1 record up to 31.87 and Brian Saunders extended the Sports/Outright mark (which he held already) to a superb 35.60 so it was fitting that they shared the wins between them too.
Perhaps the most important aspect of the meeting was the friendly atmosphere throughout. There were no hitches and no arguments; a pleasure of a meeting to run. Thanks to everyone and we look forward to your next visit!
